I recently had the pleasure of playing around in the studio with a fellow photographer and friend, Natalie Field, from http://nataliefield.photography/.
I consider myself as someone who wants to step out of the box and try something new. Natalie often inspires me to try new techniques and I thought it would be a great idea to combine my love for dramatic lighting and Natalie’s classic beauty, and produce portraits of her.
I was lucky enough to try out the Vanguard ABEO Pro 283 CT and GH-300T Pistol grip, which I have since purchased to add to my professional equipment, as well as the Photon Professional Lighting System. The light modifier of choice was a snoot which created dramatic directional lighting when photographing these portraits.
The thought of pursuing a more creative outlet regarding my photography is something which excites and fascinates me and this shoot certaintly has opened the door for more creative photography and perhaps trying my hand at model portfolios, so watch this space.
I would like to thank my awesome MUA who was on hand to create a super classical Hollywood look. Thank you Pipa Gadney for your expertise and helping to create these dynamic portraits.
Here are a few images from our shoot.
